Diamond Dog Skeletal Study

David says he likes it, but that it’s creepy.

I agree 100%

Tommy Newton of Nick Roeg’s The Man Who Fell to Earth, played by David Bowie

My part of an art trade between can’tdancetothenoise and I.

I am so very happy with the way this one turned out. It was a TON of fun and took me a whole weekend and a few hours before getting ready for school today to finish.

I sent it to david’s cousin and she showed him. He said that he LOVES it and that it “really captures Newton’s character”. I just about died when I read that XD

This one is going to be framed in my bedroom and hung on my wall as well.

I thought it was really fun to experiment with the style used in the sunglasses as well as the glass he is holding. His nose is another one of my favorite parts.

I love the green tone in the background too.

Comments and critique are always welcomed and appreciated.

please do not use without my permission. I worked VERY hard and VERY long on this one and would be very sad to see it stolen. ( I stayed up VERY late every night during the weekend working on it)

David Bowie circa~1971-72

Watercolor

This one was a lot of fun to do and was a “just-‘cause” piece.

I really wanted to try my hand at the Art-Nouveau style, so I chose a subject that was already comfortable for me to work with, David Bowie.
I felt that the cool colors worked best with this one and the brown hair suited it better than the red hair normally seen on Ziggy-era Bowie.

Comments/critique always welcome

Outside pg 8

This was great fun to do! Darryl was a challenge. I had to work backwards. instead of laying down shadows, i had to lay down my highlights and then go back and darken areas. lots of fun!

i still can’t believe i got two pages done in one night. David is gonna be so happy! :D
